Sharon Sewell Charity Evening

Last December, when everyone faced isolation over the Christmas period, Sharon Sewell created an initiative that brought happiness to hundreds of isolated and lonely people across the city of Derby. She organised and helped cook and deliver Christmas meals and hampers for hundreds of isolated older people.

That’s the thing about Sharon. She has secured millions of pounds for various local charities over the years. Her whole life she has gladly given so much to those in need.

In January, Sharon was rushed to hospital for emergency surgery to repair a tear in her Aorta. This was just the beginning of a stream of lifesaving procedures dealing with major complications and life-threatening internal bleeding. Added to this, Sharon also caught COVID-19 adding to what was already an extremely traumatic time for her and her family.

You will be glad to know that Sharon survived the ordeal, but it came at a heavy cost to her and her family. After everything she endured, she will live the rest of her life as a paraplegic.

For the next eight months, Sharon will remain in hospital for treatment, and then hopefully she will be able to return home and recover as best she can.

Fundraising Evening

On September the 11th 2021, at Pjayz Kitchen in Northampton, we will be holding and hosting a fundraiser that will include a 3-course meal and the best in local music and comedy. You can arrive from 6.15pm, with the meal being served from 7pm.

We are hoping to help raise enough money to purchase much-needed equipment and adjust Sharon’s home, as well as help pay for medical expenses that will enhance her recovery.

We are hoping to be able to pay back some of Sharon’s kindness so that she can live with relative comfort and recover as best she can.

We will also be holding a raffle and are contacting local businesses asking if they are able to donate a product or voucher for the raffle to help us raise that little bit extra money for Sharon.
