Google is the No 1 Search Engine in the world and for your website to get found organically by your potential Customers you need to be found on page 1 possibly page 2 when your new Customers are searching for your services.
SEO is about optimising your website and website content so that your website ranks well in Google searches, if you potential customers can’t find you but find your competitors then your website isn’t performing as well as it could be.
Search Engine Optimization isn’t a quick process, it does take months of hard work and focus to improve your rankings, especially if you are trying to rank in other locations other than where your business is based.
Google likes good and original content, it wants to give the best experience to the people that are searching for products or services, Google wants to know that you are an expert in your field, so content is king when it comes to SEO, so how does your website fair?
There are also many other factors that Google takes into consideration when deciding which websites will be found high up in Google searches and how well your website works is also a consideration. Is your website slow to load? If so then Google is less likely to show your website high in rankings, as a slow loading website does not give a good experience.
If your website isn’t working then content, usability and speed all need to be taken into consideration, great content alone will not get you found.

DO YOU KNOW WHAT WORDS AND PHRASES YOUR CUSTOMERS ARE USING?
You may think that it is obvious, you know what you do, but your potential customers may be using different phrases. Which is why when working with my clients one of the first things we need to do is keyword research. What words and phrases for your profession are people using?
Once we know what your customer are searching for, we then need to see how well your website performs against those keywords and in the locations that you cover and work to fill the gaps and improve your organic website ranking.
LOCATION BASED SEO
It is a lot easier to rank in Google for your services and products in your base location but not so easy to rank well if you cover more than one location, so location-based SEO does involve more work. But I can help you with that also.
SEO does take time and it can take up to 6 months before you start to see any improvement, so if you are being told that there are some quick wins to improve your Google Rankings, beware. Yes, there are ways to improve faults found, but that may still take time to improve your organic ranking.
