Will AI Change the Way You Market Your Business in 2025?

The tree is up, presents are tempting you from under the tree, and you are about to head off for the office Christmas party. This year is ending, and that’s that. Right?
If you’re a business owner, or a marketing manager, you probably left 2024 a few weeks ago. You have been thinking about what is lying behind the fireworks and tipple of Hogmanay. One of the first questions that might have been on your lips is: how will AI truly reshape our 2025 strategies?
We’ve all attended the webinars, listened to the whispers, followed the stories by early adopters – but now we must consider whether or not we’re truly on the cusp of something. Will AI change the way you market your business in 2025?
Beyond the Buzzwords: Real-World AI Applications
Let’s be honest, you’ve been hearing about AI and all those powerful magic spells it can cast for quite some time now. But 2024 flew past and it seems that artificial intelligence is all we have heard about. It’s not clunky chatbots anymore. We are hearing about:
• Hyper-personalising customer journeys: Forget the generic campaigns of the traditional olden days that came before CoVID. Artificial intelligence is now capable of analysing vast datasets to predict customer behaviour and deliver that personal touch.
• Automated content creation: AI writing tools have been the big hitters this year. With OpenAI and Gemini (among others), trying to talk to us like it is human, and trying to write engaging articles for people who don’t have time. Still, writing a blog using AI still needs human intervention.
• Optimising Ad Spend: Ai-powered ad platforms are now predicting campaign performance with varying degrees of accuracy. The idea is that there is a lot less wasted spend, and the return on investment accelerates.
• AI-Driven Insights: AI customer service and chatbots now do more than simply answer FAQs with a stock answer. AI is being programmed to analyse customer sentiment, predict issues, and proactively offer solutions.
• Predictive Analytics: AI promises to work harder on that back end. 2025 could see marketing platforms predicting future trends. As customers continue to react to marketing events,
The Terminator is not ready to take over just yet
If the dalliances with AI this year have taught us something, it’s that humans are not ready to be retired from the game. Yes there is a chorus of people who are proclaiming that AI will take our jobs, but they are missing the crucial point. It isn’t designed to replace us; AI is designed to help us bring OUR visions to life.
Looking Ahead: continued development
Whenever we have a new technological movement, opinions immediately are divided. Those marching into marketing departments crying “viva la revolution”, and those that fear the rising tide of change. There never seems to be any middle ground.
But it’s not about whether we should be fully adopting AI and throwing away our old methods. AI will continue to be developed, and with each patch and development it will prove useful to us. It is up to the marketing departments lining the UK to decide how to implement it to complement their marketing strategies, not to take them over completely.
